VASH (Veterans Affairs Supportive Housing)
HUD-VASH combines HUD’s Housing Choice Voucher program with the
Department of Veterans Affairs’ supportive services to help homeless veterans find and sustain permanent housing.

Section 202 Housing (Seniors in need of Supportive Services)
This program provides capital advances and rental assistance to develop
affordable housing for very low-income elderly individuals, promoting
independent living with supportive services.
Senior and Homeless: HCV (Housing Choice Voucher)
The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, commonly known as Section 8, provides rental assistance for low-income families, the elderly, and the disabled. Participants receive vouchers that allow them to choose their own housing, the property needs to meet program requirements.
The EHV program provides housing choice vouchers to assist individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness, are at risk of homelessness, or are fleeing domestic violence, sexual assault. a. Mainstream – Elderly/Disabled
Mainstream vouchers are designed to assist non-elderly persons with disabilities in finding affordable housing. These vouchers provide similar
benefits to Housing Choice Vouchers but specifically target households that include individuals with disabilities to promote independence.
b. PBV (Project-Based Voucher)
The PBV program is a form of rental assistance in which the voucher is tied to a specific unit or property, rather than being given to the tenant to use
anywhere. It provides long term affordability
c. 802NED (Non-Elderly Disabled Voucher)
These vouchers are allocated for non-elderly persons with disabilities. They help individuals move out of institutions or restrictive environments into the community with suitable housing, emphasizing independent living.
d. FUP (Family Unification Program)
FUP vouchers provide housing assistance to families who are at risk of losing custody of their children due to inadequate housing, or for young adults transitioning out of foster care who are at risk of homelessness.
This program helps stabilize the family unit or assist young adults in becoming independent.
e. PSH (Permanent Supportive Housing)
PSH is a housing model designed for individuals experiencing chronic homelessness, especially those with disabilities or mental health issues. It combines long-term rental assistance with supportive services, ensuring that participants can maintain stable housing and access the care they
need.
